Questions about Coaching Practices
Q: Who will benefit from Coaching?
A: We all can benefit from personal coaching whether we are looking for some short-term assistance with a particular issue or a long-term, more comprehensive, life-changing program. However, coaching is generally for those who are seeking a more significant change to their life in a shorter period of time and who are prepared to go to a deeper level of introspection.
Q: Why should you consider being coached?
A: Because coaching works! The coaching process is the only self-improvement process that directs itself to achieving RESULTS. It is the most effective, most efficient and least costly method of human improvement there is. Coaching does not look at what you did wrong or right or analyze why. You will not have to relive or defend past unpleasant events. Coaching moves you forward in your life. Coaching is like driving a car, where you and your coach work together at looking ahead and driving forward. Your coach concentrates all of his/her energies and skills to assist you to achieve your desired goals, and gives you 100% unconditional support.
Q: What can you expect to receive from Coaching?
A: You can expect to discover your true authentic self and how to redesign your life so that you are living an authentic life - one that is congruent with your values and purpose. You will gain clarity on who you are, why you are here and what you want for your life. Most of us do not even realize that we are living out other peoples' expectations for us. This is usually the root cause of much of our pain or difficulties in life. Through coaching we can begin to create positive change in our life. You will create a powerful new vision for your future. You will develop a complete action plan for success. And, you will learn how to take full responsibility for all the outcomes in your life. With this newfound knowledge, you will begin to realize the life you always dreamed was possible and you will see magnificent shifts in your outlook on life, your personal and business relationships, your financial bottom line, your interpersonal skills, your self-esteem, your productivity, your professional success and your ability to inspire the best in others.
Q: What will be asked of you during the coaching process?
A: You will be asked to commit to the coaching process for a specific amount of time and to be fully present emotionally, physically and spiritually during your coaching sessions. There will be a Commitment Contract that both you and your coach will agree to and sign. You will be asked to be open-minded and explore the ideas presented by your coach and to provide your full participation in the process. It will be critically important that you are direct and forthcoming with information from the onset. You will also be expected to complete assignments on time including some daily assignments, such as, listening and/or reading motivational materials for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. You will also be expected to honor and protect your scheduled meeting times with your coach and to keep confidential any personal information shared by your coach during the coaching process.
Q: What can you expect from your Coach?
A: You can expect your coach to be dedicated to designing the best possible program for you – one that meets your specific needs, desired outcomes and expectations. You will receive a truly customized program for your development and enrichment. Your coach will believe in you and be committed to assisting you in reaching beyond where you are today, helping you to take the blinders off and create your own destiny. Your coach will be the utmost professional and will honor the terms of your personal coaching contract including all scheduled meeting times. All personal information shared during the coaching process will be held in strict confidence and will not be disclosed without your expressed consent. Your coach will be focused on you and will continuously assess your progress to be certain he/she is meeting your goals for the program. Your coach will be open-minded and explore the ideas presented by you and will treat you with dignity and respect at all times. Your coach will be available to answer any questions and concerns you may have regarding your sessions, the materials covered in the sessions and/or your process of growth throughout the term of the coaching program. In addition, your coach will be available to you via e-mail and voice mail on an unlimited basis.
Q: How much of your time is involved in Coaching?
A: Coaching involves a great deal of time, energy and concentrated focus on both your part and your coach whether it is just a one-hour coaching session or a yearlong coaching program. However, most comprehensive coaching programs cover a three or six month period and initially involve approximately 7-10 hours of your time per week. Two to three of these hours are devoted to one-on-one time with your coach with the remaining hours used to complete your exercises and assignments on your own time.
Q: Who will be your Coach?
A: All coaching programs are designed and lead by certified SpectraComm coaches. All coaches are specially trained as CORE MAP® facilitators and will have a least three years coaching experience.
Q: What do you do next if you believe Coaching might be right for you?
A: The next step would be to email us at email@example.com or call us at (214) 373-8075 to request a Free "Get-Acquainted" Consultation and we will contact you to schedule a convenient time to talk. The initial consultation is informal and generally lasts about 30 minutes. It is an opportunity to get to know your potential coach and for your coach to get to know you and what you are looking for out of coaching.
Q: What if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your coaching program?
A: Our highest goal is to exceed your expectations wherever and whenever possible. Thus, we expect that you will be satisfied with your program and your coach. However, if at the end of your program you are not completely satisfied with the results you received, then we will return your investment to you provided that you have fully satisfied the terms of your personal coaching commitment contract. It will be important to note that your commitment contract will require you to complete your assignments on time, honor your meeting schedule and times, make payments as promised, etc. because these items are critical to your success.
